About the Artist

My training began at the Art Center School in Los Angeles, with some supplemental study at Florissant Valley Community College in St. Louis. During that time I took a summer job in architectural illustration that blossomed into a successful career lasting over four decades.

When illustration went digital, I began painting landscapes on location. Making the transition from illustration to fine art has been an exciting journey, with many new challenges and discoveries.

Looking back on a lifetime of making art, it's amazing to realize the joy it has brought me. There's always a new adventure, a variety of materials and techniques to keep the process stimulating. My moods can steer me into unforeseen tangents. There are always the choices whether to go out on location, work from reference in the studio or just to let my imagination lead the way and create an image from my minds' eye.

My mission is to bring the thoughts of my viewer through the frame and into my painted illusion of reality. Does it stir a memory or a fantasy? Can the image provide a peaceful place to rest the mind? Please stop by for a while to sample the fruits of my labor. I hope you enjoy the journey!
