Following torrential rains during the night, I drove out to the Augusta Bottom Road to see if there were any painting possibilities. I decided it would be interesting to begin before dawn the next day and catch the glow of the morning sun. All was well until I realized that the dense overcast just wasn't going to reveal any direct sunlight. Luckily, I had my artist's license with me, and a bit of cadmium orange.
