Ste. Genevieve MO is one of my favorite venues. Last year's plein air event was blessed with great weather and always provides new discoveries. As I scoped out spots to paint, this view popped up. As usual parking the car off of a shoulder-less road can be the toughest part of the job. For a change, I've used more palette knife than usual on this piece. I like the bold effects and surprisingly varied edges a knife can produce.
